Here's Episode 28.

http://liberalsguncorner.com/2013/12/10 ... -religion/

Title: God, Guns, and Religion!

We talk mostly about guns this episode. Finally, I give you my initial impressions, after about 350 rounds, of Ruger's new SR-45 pistol in .45 ACP. It's still in what I consider the initial break-in period, but I think it's getting dialed in now.

We don't neglect the wheelguns, either. In Segments 3 and 4, we talk about five double-action, medium-framed revolvers with which I've spent quite a bit of quality time. I'll even tell you who the winner is. :-)

And finally, The Liberal's Gun Corner takes on the subject of religion. Given that there's all this societal tension about Christmas nowadays, I felt it was appropriate to take on the subject. I've already warned our Christian Conservative brothers and sisters that they might not like at least some of what they're hearing. If so, then maybe that means I'm doing my job.

I just submitted Episode 29 to Mark Vanderberg, and so it should be published pretty soon.

HOWEVER....

I just learned today that the Gun Rights Radio Network hasn't been doing as well, financially, of late as Mark needs it to be doing. Therefore, he's shutting down the GRRN after Feb. 28th. That means March 1st, there will be no more GRRN.

I am now looking for another venue to post this podcast. It's on Apple iTunes, etc., and I'd like to keep that association going if possible, so I'll see if I can get hold of Mark and see if this can be done.

If I have to, I WILL USE MY OWN WEB SERVER TO DO THIS. I am a systems engineer, after all.

Will keep you all updated.

www.firearmsradio.tv might be a group to check in with. Good folks, there.

I don't see why we can't be convinced to help. Mark wanted to do a podcast (he's on an extended away thingy for work, so you probably need to be talking to me) and at least one episode was on iTunes.

We'd want to talk about traffic, load, etc, to figure out where to put it. Also, other details. PM me.

I just came across the announcement about GRRN yesterday from the "gundudes podcast". its a shame that was a great collection of people from all diffrent vview points. I generally use RSS to grab my podcasts, but alot of them are cutting off the RSS and going strait iTunes or other sources. I might have to get a sticher account or something. Anything to avoid iTunes.

Stitcher user since October 2012 here.

LGCMoTRN sounds like a nifty idea. (Liberal Gun Club Ministry of Truth Radio Network)

One thought if the LGC wants to start doing it is that several podcast networks earn money through direct affiliate links to Brownells and other websites like them.

Been busy building a new server for this purpose and now have it pretty much ready to go. That's why I haven't been logged in here for a while. Had to learn what WordPress even was. But that's what we systems engineers do; if it's needed, we learn it and get to it.

Being a good Liberal, of course I am using exclusively Free Software to do this. Why? Same reason I believe in the RKBA; it's about freedom.

Mark Vanderberg is xferring the domain name, "liberalsguncorner.com" to me; things should be finalized by the end of the week. My DNS server is already set to go w/ a new zone file as well. Same goes for the associated Facebook and Twitter accounts, so I'll be administering those, too. My goodness, I'm actually going to be using...Facebook and Twitter...shudder.....

If I cannot get this working for some inane reason, I may take Inquisitor up on his offer, and thank you for it.

I may use a form of that! :-)

The Liberal's Gun Corner podcast is back online (I think). Just posted Episode #29 this evening. Can some of you give it a shot and see how (if) things are working?

Episode 30 is up. Title: "The Ninth Circuit Court Ruling on California Carry, and Talkin’ ‘Bout AR’s"

http://www.liberalsguncorner.com/?p=215

We continue our discussion on the significant decision of the Ninth Circuit regarding California carry. There is currently an active discussion thread on this here on these forums as well.

Then, we talk about AR-type rifles. A lot of people have been buying them recently. Here, I'd like to make the case for the AR-10/LR-308 version, i. e. the .308 Winchester version, for your consideration.

Love it. Hope you don't mind if I post a link to this around. We can open or conceal carry here because we have a shall issue License to Carry Handgun. I prefer to conceal carry because I don't like to attract unnecessary attention and I also live downtown where I would probably get more attention.

Actually I think the AR-15 was a variant of the AR10 which was Stoner's first entry for evaluation to the Army. I know, nit picking. My first AR was the LR308-AP4, dang accurate. I offered a vet to shoot it at the range and he thought it was an AR-15 sitting on the table and turned me down. When I told him it was a .308 his interest picked up so I let him shoot a box of my ammo. It is noticeably heavier than an AR-15.

Episode 31 is now up. Topic: "Another fatal Fort Hood shooting, and… How to get new “good guy” gun owners"

http://www.liberalsguncorner.com/?p=218

There's been another mass shooter at Fort Hood. Yep, the same one that (former) Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan did his shooting spree at, back in 2009. Well, April 2, 2014, just last night, someone else--an Iraq vet named Spc. Ivan Lopez--did a repeat of that tragic chapter. Once again, it took a "good gal" with a gun to stop the murderer; in this case, the assailant took his own life when presented by actual resistance.

It's time to take the shackles off of our people who are defending our country!

On that note, to keep marksmanship alive, we need new folks joining us. We need to pass the knowledge down. I recently shared how Miss B.H.C. and I did just that with a local young lady. Now you're going to hear Miss B.H.C.'s own story, and how she later would help me get my own mother to enjoy it as well. This is significant, because both of these women were pretty scared of guns at first. But not anymore.

Episode 33 is now up. Title: "Only the Police and Military Need Guns?"

http://www.liberalsguncorner.com/?p=238

Sometimes the episodes I do are kinda difficult. This was one of them.

We all know that one of the antis' rallying cries is, "only the police and military need guns!" They're doing it again after that Hollywood wacko kid went nuts in Isla Vista, California. This includes the "Hollyweird" big-wigs, too; they're calling for more gun restriction, despite the content of their own violent movies and games.

Well, this episode is my own brand of California-Liberal answer to that. We give you some examples of what happens if "only the police and military have guns." Indeed, in light of the increased militarization of the police forces, this takes on especial importance. My examples of this came from current and retired LEO's, who are just as concerned about this trend.

For all you LEO's out there that do support the Constitution, and especially the Bill of Rights, we need you to call these incidents to the public's attention. To those of you who do, thank you for doing so.

Title: A Fourth-Of-July Realization About the Antis–Yes, They Really Do Want Full-Blown Confiscation

http://www.liberalsguncorner.com/?p=241

Every July 4th--well, virtually every day, but especially on July 4th--I consider the liberties that we have here in this country. They matter to me as a veteran, as a Liberal, and as a citizen. Whether some of you believe it or not, the Second Amendment is what makes up the teeth behind the rest of the Constitution. Without the 2A, the rest of the Constitution would be just a piece of paper. Guns, in the hands of Us, the People, are those teeth.

The antis are trying the "frog in the slowly heated pot of water" approach. They've learned from their previous failures. But they also know the tide's turned against them, and now they're getting desperate. It's to the degree that they're actually now even getting OVERTLY racial. Yes, folks, the antis are themselves specifically attacking Black Americans' rights to keep and bear arms. You will hear an example of it.

Some of you here don't like it when I call out the racism of the antis. Maybe it strikes a little too close to home for some of you. That's unfortunate, because it nonetheless needs to be done. That, to me, is the only really Liberal way to deal with their racism.
