Is there any way that we can use the attention that the club has gotten to place representatives in leadership committees within the Democratic party?

They are still generally hostile. That said, that sort of thing requires concerted effort, from people with some time and possibly expertise. Volunteering?

Frankly, I am too far from where they are. The Democratic party doesn't put much effort into fly-over country.

There is very little here, anymore, that is any different from any other NRA approved fascist meme zone. What I see is either half assed justification of the usual NRA crap or Puritopian stupidity that allows the fascists to win no matter what is right.

Once upon a time I believed this place would be different.

It is not and has not been for a very long time. Now it's just another NRA apologetic on it's rare good moments. I haven't seen anything socialist here in years.

May God have mercy on us all.

Guess I should have posted more?

Oh wait, wrong kind of socialism I guess.

Well, if we have someone lined up for the 45th district to get rid of friggen Mimi Walters I'd be happy to vote for em.
Damn, I'd even consider doing it myself if I thought I'd have a chance.

copy that. that's definitely a tricky one. hopefully he finds a home somewhere.
Read his past posts, you won't have to go far back to see why he's upset aside from wanting bans.
Ps. I didn't see him being a great proponent of socialism. Just my take.

On a positive note, I like the direction of the club and continue to support it.

I came here for just the opposite reason. I've seen too many RWN assholes for whom ANY limit on their "2nd Rights" they oppose. If it means being blocked by law from letting a toddler play with a loaded .45, they were against it. If it means stopping a diagnosed psychopath from being able to walk into any gun shop and buy a six-barreled mini-gun with 20,000 rounds of ammo, and mounting it facing the town square, they were against it. If it means they couldn't walk into a court of law where their friend was being tried, armed with fully automatic weapons, they were against it.

And if you DARED challenge them you were a lib'tard, commie, homo-secks-shul, lazy, welfare cheatin', child-molester who hates God, Jesus and 'Mur-ca, loves Moo-slims, who's gonna take away their guns and get the gummint's hands on their Soshul Scurety an' Medicare, wants to kill unborn babies, but waste $$ takin' care of 'em when they are born.

Here, I can engage in heated, but not personal discussions with almost everyone, we can agree on facts, or even agree on what facts we disagree on, nobody gives a shit if someone's straight, GLBTQ, male, female, cis, trans, married, single, young, old, and range from those who believe in sensible controls, like me to those who seriously and honestly believe that it's insanely difficult to nearly impossible to define reasonable, non-rights-impinging controls.

That's why I'm here, because there's only one other gun advocacy group I know of that ISN'T the NRA or even worse.

I became a gun owner because when Trump won the election on a technicality, it instantly unleashed the violent, hate-filled bigots, racists, misogynist jingoist White supremacists who now felt they could come out from under the rocks like the gross bugs they are, with THEIR guns ready, willing, and able to shoot down anyone who DARED get in their way.

Until they face people just as well armed who won't let them pass.
Excellent!
