So I notice in a Cabela's catalog the Leupold makes a AR 15 specific scope. It has. BDC for a 55gr round and you can get other turrets for different weights.

So I just had to get it. I got the 3x9 they also make a 4x12 with a paralax ring. That was more than I needed.

I am very impressed with the clarity of it have not shot it yet but am looking forward to it.

I had a beeman ssl on it before which is a great scope that is no longer made. But it was a fixed three power. Fine for a carbine but I have a 20 in heavy barrel. So the beeman goes on my 10/22 target and the rimfire scope from there goes on my Henry lever action.

Win win all around.

Congrats! I'm not really an AR guy, but I can appreciate them. Leupold seems to consistently make good glass.

I'll bet I'd lose an AR vs AK thread, even in this forum.

If I needed a weapon in a post apocalyptic world I would want an AK. The thing is a beast that always works and ammo is everywhere.

That is the only scenario I ever plan for, mostly caused by zombies.

OMG! ZOMBIES!!!!1!11!!

I think of mine as more of a lady than a beast, a bearded lady fluent in Cyrillic maybe, but a lady.

I will add an rifle length AR to my collection someday. The versatility of the different calibre recievers is a very attractive feature.
