Re: Thinkin' about a varmint scope. Suggestions?

When you say varmint scope I think big magnification and light gathering. I have one of these on one of my magnum spring air rifles. The recoil is way more than an AR, plus bi-directional. Its worked perfectly for five years now. The whole package, rifle and scope is about 12lbs. I leaned it poorly against the wall in my garage once and it fell over on the cement floor. It held zero. The color illumination thing is crap.

Hm, that looks cool!

As for budget? 200ish? I don't have the money yet but I imagine 200 bucks.

I did what I usually do and ignored all of you and ordered one of these today:

Yeah I was all "I don't need anything tactical" but for some reason, I always order gun stuff while pretending that Mason is standing over my shoulder making fun of me so I just had to do it.

And no, I didn't spend that much on it.

Jesus, this AR has had more costume changes than Cher.

It might be....I decided to go with something that would reflect how I usually shoot and that means 100 yards or so at the most (I'm the least ambitious AR shooter ever). I'm gonna have to go out of my way to shoot anything living with this rifle (unless you count coyotes, but I don't want to shoot canines).
