Doesn't look too bad. Have you thought about buying some s-biners and a tripod quick attachment point and hanging it from the bottom? I'll do that at times as a secondary attachment when moving and not actively shooting. How much more gear are you considering?

Nice angles on the buildings. We're you standing up or crouched?

I was just reading This great BBC travel story on the area in North Carolina where they filmed the District 12 stuff. Apparently the abandoned town they used is up for sale.

All of the shots were angled up to get the fence out of the picture. The whole ruins have a security fence which they took down for the movie shoot. Someone made a drone video which really shows the detail. I will find it. I think 30+ films and TV shows are now being in made in Georgia due to the tax break being offered by the state. Georgia is the new Hollywood in some aspects.

Ribz packs could be a good option for backpacking for around $60.

As a lover of military gear (and military-styled gear), it bums me out that there is a negative connotation surrounding the use of it. Too many whack-a-doos/90's militia types over the years, I guess  . I grew up going to surplus stores and playing commando, so using cheap military field gear is all about adventure and a sense of whimsy. Versatile, inexpensive, and easily replaced. What's not to love???

Also, DD Hammocks in the UK make some cool (lightweight) tarps that can be setup like a tent with trekking poles and ship to the US in the matter of days.
