It is striking -- and unusual -- that fewer Democrats than ever support an assault weapons ban, since the Democratic Party has been instrumental in pushing for stricter gun laws.

However, it is worth noting that a majority of Americans still believe there should be stricter laws governing the sale of firearms, even as they are reluctant to endorse a ban on handguns and assault weapons.

I was reading that poll info. Too bad politicians don't care what people think, only if they'll hold their nose long enough to vote for them.

Clinton will push for a ban, just like some politicans in various states are now. She'll waste political capital because she has the same end goal as most others in government. Get your yourself and your friends rich while fighting windmills.
