Magnets are rated for like 18 pounds each. Two together= 36. 36x4=150lb-Ish... however since I epoxy them in and put felt pads between then by way of the stand, you lose some of the 18 pounds because they aren’t touching.

It’s very strong vertically, but you can push it sideways with minimal effort.

Hmm. I hope it works for you, but I think with the stresses of the press you may wind up using bolts. If it moves easily horizontally, then you'll wind up with some wobble action at a bare minimum when you're running it. Table looks great though!

It was bolted down previously. I haven’t loaded anything yet so I’ll let you know, but it feels rock solid when I pull the lever. Also, I have to to finish the frame for the Rockchucker, which is the main reason I went this route. 1 bench, 2 presses, and all my case cutting, mini Vice and other accessory’s in a modular platform.

You know, if you've got enough vertical strength, you could probably add posts around the outside of it, just high enough to keep it from moving from front to back when you seat the primers and to eliminate side wobble. Then you'd still be able to swap it out quickly, and could even remove the posts depending on how you did them.

Excellent idea. I’m probably going to throw another $9 worth of magnets at it, but if that fails permanent pins to stop the back end from popping up would do the trick.

You know my original plan involved a 120v connection, inverter, a switch and a lot of copper cable, however the wife asked what was the worst thing that would happen if I accidentally left it on and forgot about it, and I said “fire” and here we are.

You know, at the end of the day if you decide you really want something, you just have to find a way. Who cares if I spent as much money on magnets as I did on lumber. This shit is dope, son!

Your lack of enthusiasm for this project has been noted, CD. Excepting the phone issue, cuz I haven’t found out yet, everything else is a non-issue. IM going to take another run at it this weekend, will update.
