I always have to act it out with my hand to adjust sights, I can't seem to remember which way to turn the knobs to move the shot on the target through the sights.
Anyone have a handy memory device for me to stare at so I don't look like a moron on the range?

I'm actually dyslexic, so I'm no help. I have to do the same thing.

It's all good, friend. It is an inherently dyslexic endeavor. Ever try to aim over your shoulder through a mirror like the old cowboy trick? Ever try to shave in one of those freaky mirrors that actually flip the image to make it correct? Or use stage directions? It's not much different, our brains have a difficult time adjusting to 180 degree turns. I have long accepted, and even embraced my dyslexia. Sometimes it's even fun! The way that it manifests most often for me is I'll look at a word, and my brain will register it as being another word that looks similar. For example, even after 31 years, when I read the word warehouse I always register it as whorehouse first. This is usually most enjoyable when I read advertisements. I see all kinds of great adverts that most of you miss out on entirely! Edit: [/threadjack]

I don't have any cute jingle but it's easy to remember to MOVE THE REAR SIGHT IN THE DIRECTION YOU WANT THE BULLET TO GO. If the bullet is hitting low and left, move the rear sight right and up. I suppose you could also think of it as doing the opposite of what the bullet is doing.

mark wrote: Are you sure that is your dyslexia and not some sort of Freudian thing? I wont discount that some of it may be, I see some pretty interesting stuff, but it's not always Freudian. Sometimes I'll look too quickly and read chain as chair, things like that, it has more to do with the shape of the written word itself than with the meaning of the word. I do not however switch d & b, or write my c or s's backwards. I'm odd in a lot of ways...
