Our fearless CapnJim did an interview for me that the Christian Science Monitor requested. We didn't get much play in the article but we did get a mention. Check it out:

I can't believe I mentioned zombies.

Oh, wait, yeah, I kinda can.

Thanks for embarassing the hell out of me, Mark. :D

Ha, I think it was a great quote. Nothing like mentioning a zombie invasion in our first big national press interview. :P

I will add that doing one of these interviews can be fairly stressful because you don't know exactly what to expect- and what angle the reporter is looking for. You try to prepare as much as possible, but then it always goes somewhere you are not expecting.

Jim did an outstanding job (which meant I didn't have to). Thanks Jim.

Thanks all! I can't recall if my quote was exactly 100% verbatim what I said or not, but the jist of it was certainly spot-on: uneven distribution of ammo in the "ammo shortage".

I believe it's the gun show assholes buying up the lion's share and reselling at a premium to freaked-out paranoiacs.

I simply do not buy marked up ammunition. Period. If everyone else would do the same thing, we wouldn't be seeing the empty shelves as much.

It would also help if retailers limited everyone to three boxes of ammo per transaction per day, but why would they do that? Sales are through the roof, and it's just good business to ride this wave as far as it will roll.

By the way, the NRA surveys every article in every major publication about guns. You can be sure that they now know there is a "Liberal Gun Club" and that coupled with the recent survey of their members which shows that the NRA has been too extreme may well tone those guys down. You can also be sure that they have checked out this site to see how many people we have and how fast we are growing.

Very good, Jim!
Great point to mention! After all, we live in capitalism and everything is allowed on a road to make a buck, right?
