Gamo Hornet

I know this is an air gun, a 'springer' in fact, and there may be an 'air gun specific site here, but fuck it, it is still a rifle. It is a real hoot to shoot, can be fired at targets in my backyard in town, and is cheap to pop a few cans or squirrels. "TWANG" and a big smile. Life can be good sometimes.

Moved to the Airgun section so we can spend time here.
We have about a half acre backyard and there are lots of things that make noise then you hit them
Miniature golf/bb gun course comes next.
The ball goes in but to get it out you have to hit a target.

Bluefish, buy heavy pellets for that gun. Try whatever grabs your fancy but 10+ grains will likely group best and do least damage to your gun. Gamo pellets are generally crap, particularly the PBA varieties. I'd recommend starting with Beeman Kodiaks, JSB Diablo/Diablo Heavies or H&N Barracuda or Field Target Specials. Try a can of each from Pyramid Air or straight Shooters and see what groups best.

Also, Google "Artillery Hold". It will help. http://www.pyramydair.com/article/The_a ... ne_2009/63

Check out "Charlie Da Tuna for a trigger upgrade .http://www.charliedatuna.com/

Air guns are awesome for exactly the reason you mentioned-you can shoot in your backyard, garage or basement anytime you want for very little $. The bean can must be punished!

Thanks for the tips mason. The 'Tuna Man' said not to use the heavy pellets(10gr) and you said not to use the light so I am thinking 6-9 gr would work. I will be getting new pellets and save the tin of el cheapo Gamo pellets.

And I forgot the cardinal rule: no pics no deal so mhere it is in its flat black glory.
