2Looks like CA is one of two states that allow it for bow season for turkeys.
Re: Benjamin® Pioneer Airbow

5A grand! Includes nine arrows. Such a deal. Still, 450 fps is nothing to sneeze at without a firearm...

6Very gimmicky and for a niche market of people who have more money than sense.CDFingers wrote:A grand! Includes nine arrows. Such a deal. Still, 450 fps is nothing to sneeze at without a firearm...

It's also $100 for a six more arrows.
$1100 could buy you a kick-ass bolt action with plenty of ammo to take down anything for years.

7I think the appeal is being able to extend your hunting season. I don't see much else going for it.
In a free state, you could even supress your rifle for that cost.

8Oh, you could get a suppressor AND a rifle for that cost or very close to it.senorgrand wrote:I think the appeal is being able to extend your hunting season. I don't see much else going for it.

9I bet that is way easier to deal with in a tree stand than a cross bow or compound. That is the market. It may also be quieter than a traditional arrow launcher. I'd almost guarantee they'll make a completely silent one as the market develops. If it were legal for whitetail in my state I would certainly buy one rather than a cross bow.
