I found some unopened old stock of Accurate #9 at my local pawn shop and I want to use it to load some .357 Magnums but I'm used to H110 and W296. The most recent Accurate data tests uses Winchester small pistol magnum primers. I do have a few of those but most of my small magnum primers are CCI.
It appears as though Accurate changed the data at some point in the past and I can't tell if it has something to do with the primers. I think I should be OK with the CCI small magnum primers as long as I don't exceed the maximum load in the most current Accurate data. Some independent data for Accurate #9 even uses regular CCI small pistol primers in .357 magnum.
Re: Anyone Have Experience Using Accurate #9 For .357 Magnum
2I have a little experience with it. Very similar to 2400 and I used standard primers.

3Not .357 Mag, but it's stupid accurate in my .45 LC rifle.

Thanks for the advice. I'll be finishing up tomorrow. 125 gr JHP bullets with 15 gr Accurate #9. 158 gr jacketed soft point bullets with 13.5 gr Accurate #9. I'll be heading out to the range next week to test a few.
