Read some reviews, sounds like they sometimes suck out of the box, but if they do, they fail immediately. Found one used that has been shot for 100$

Re: Impala recurve
2Sorry I didn't see this sooner. Like you, I have heard mixed things about the Impala. If its a take-down you want, you could get this one for $129 new. Seems to have some pretty good ratings. Its an imported bow, just fyi. Which means that someone in China got paid in soy beans to make it. But if you just want to test the waters, its probably not a bad deal. Plus it has a warranty. 131 reviews, 4.5/5 stars. Replacement limbs are $65.

I am sure it will be a good one. And since its a take-down, if you break a limb you buy new ones relatively cheap.

6Necro post, but it's my own
Say I wanted to get lighter limbs for this, is there a standard?

7Just get used to the ones that are on it. And you will with practice. Why turn a hundred dollar slinger into a 200 dollar slower slinger? Well you must have your reasons. Please share.Inquisitor wrote:Necro post, but it's my own

Re: Impala recurve
9Yeah, along with myself, a lot of people really like compound bows because of the let-off. Most of today's compound bows are amazing with a comfortable 80%. I also find it very hard to concentrate on the target to the point of release while trying to hold the whole poundage, so to speak. Nice looking bow btw.
