My build, I'm not going to make the Annual meeting after all :(

Financial issues, when I get home I'll post updated pics and the full cost of what it took to build my AR.
I'm going to sell it for exactly what I paid for each product minus shipping costs, and minus my Magpul sights (I had to made some cuts on the front sight). Also throwing in a $60 36inch rifle/pistol bag too, will come with LGC logo patch.

I can totally relate to financial issues. My bonus that was supposed to go to start a p238 lay-away for my wife turned into new tires for the car...

Good luck with the sale, you should have no problems selling an AR in TX.

You could drag it to the Lewisville show and see if someone bites.

If you do that, mark it up 15%.

I'm sorry to hear that you are selling it, after all the time, money and sweat that you put into it.

Question to the group. Doesn't an FFL have to be involved when privately selling between states?

Yep. If the buyer is an FFL, residency doesn't matter as long as the seller is legally able to possess the firearm in the state of the transaction.

I could not, for example, bring an AR Pistol to MA and try to sell it to an FFL as it is not legal in that state. F'n Romney...

So if I want to sell one of my guns, I can only sell it to another person that is a resident of my own state, unless the buyer has an FFL license. Correct?

No, you can go to your LGS and have them ship it to the buyers local FFL and provided they clear the paperwork they get the gun.

Can I sell it myself? Won't have to go through a dealer? Curious how the process would work hmm...

Use this bill of sale and keep it with the papers related to your initial purchase.

You want to have something that shows who got the gun after it left you in case something bad happens with the gun.

Sorry to hear about that. If I were in a position to, I'd gladly buy it with an option to buy it back, but it seems that I'm in a situation not unlike your own. Good luck in your recovery from this.

Update

Yeah no luck with any of the dealers... best price was less then $700 :( I'd have better luck with the crowd... but one guy was looking for a 7.62 build :/

Oh well, there is another bigger show in 2 weeks, I'll try sell it then and online.
