I am bathed in the glorious reek of sulfur. I can taste it.
Just came home from a great night at the range. I barely hit a damn thing. Smoothbores without sights will do that, especially with bad lighting. On the other hand, BIG ORANGE FLAMES!
Sorry. No pics.

7Just like the gun, clean up with warm water and soap. Follow up with some Barricade, it brings out the shine in your hair and smells like marigolds.

8Lets see it. Is it a French Fusil De Chasse or an English design?Fukshot wrote:Not the double, but my other 16, the flintlock fusil.

13Triggers like that are not at all uncommon on sporting arms of the late 18th century.
Senprgrand, it was just like that. I was preparing for a gang war against some creeps with screwdrivers and a lightsabers.

Re: I stink
14Thats an English lock. Who made the gun? If you have not been on the TOW sight this is it. http://www.trackofthewolf.com/ The fusils of the 18th century were elegant pieces of art. They were also far more common than rifles.

15It appears to be either an early Jackie Brown or another maker, from North Carolina, who signs his work J. E. Brown. I haven't chased down confirmation as I have no intention of selling it.
Quality of the build is quite good, but not a zillion dollar masterpiece. I paid about what one would pay for mass-produced Italian stuff.
