I have my doubts that a 1867 snider has a lot of collectable value unless it can be certified by a real gunsmith as a reliable and safe shooter. Just a gut feeling on my part. The trap door spingfield started out as a conversion of the springfield muzzle loader but was in continuous service till the Krag, the snider was in service for only a couple of years and replaced by the Martini in 1871. Some of the colonies may have used them longer I don't know. Your pics are small can you identify any of the proof marks?
