;) I mangle wood from time to time, but not leather. Leather working is a great craft though.

I do a little. A few holsters for self or gifts. Full drawer of almost holsters.

I've made all of my own holsters for years, on a limited basis somewhat professionally back in the 80s.

In case that link didn’t work, there’s a thread in How-To on making CCIWB holster by yours truly.

A Scottish targe. I mostly make sheaths but have done a few other things in leather.

I do plan on getting into leatherworking. Already have a wholesale account with Springfield, just need to use it for more than just repairing other folk's work.

I made an open offer on WAguns to make a holster for any who bought me a gun form and one gent took me up on it.

Nice! And that is a great idea on how to get the forms, too. :D

Well played, sir! I keep all my patterns but the IWB holsters especially have to be form fitted to ensure retention.

Yar! I did try a little poor folks vacuum form recently and that worked well but not for holsters. Great for making cases and cups and gussets and things though. I just get the leather wet, stick the form in there then burnish the hell out of it.

Yeah, good idea on getting the gun forms! I haven't made any holsters because it seemed like I'd end up getting a zillion gun forms to just use once... And I'm in CA where I never use a holster since you can't carry anything.

At least it’s sunny and 70 and zero percent humidity 364 days a year. Honestly, do yo expect to conceal carry when everyone wears bikinis and tee backs and tank tops and (if I was there) jorts? I mean cmon man, it’s just not feasible unless you get a Snubby Chubby holster from Klown (patent pending).

Knife sheaths always leave blade-shaped scraps. Perfect for bookmarks. :)
