I've always been a shotgunner. For small game and larger game. It just fits with the enviornment and my hunting skill set. I've headed out more than a few trips with rifles to go after White Tails. BUT it seems like I have more success with either a 12 or 20 gauge.
So what do ya'll find more comfort using and have more success taking game with year in and year out?
Re: Something to think about before heading into the woods..
2I have a couple of shotguns around the house that get a workout every fall. I have the wife convinced that I need a .22 for varmints, a big rifle for deer, handguns for SD, and BP guns for fun and hunting. Don't mess with a system that works or I may find it harder to convince her I need a new gun.
Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.
