I wasn't sure what forum to put this in, but since I know some preppers dig tomahawks, I thought I'd invite you to check my review: http://americanpeasant.net/2013/09/30/r ... -tomahawk/
If you're into it, "like" the heck out of it por favor
Re: SOG Tactical Tomahawk Review
2Read, enjoyed, and duly 'liked'. However, I was hooked by the promise of 'shit of goat', but instead, it's about that other SOG. False advertising!

3I'd personally go with the Speztnaz Entrenching Shovel

4I read it and enjoyed it too.
Please let me know if you get a Spatsnaz Shovel. That one always intrigued me, especially since most grunts spend more time digging than chopping (or stabbing).
Plus, it's got the Crazy Russian Seal of Approval.
Edit: missed it by THAT much.

5When I get one?....I've had one since the late 90s. It's known as the destroyer of tree stumps and has dispatched a couple of insanely big tarantulas and scorpions found in my garage.senorgrand wrote:I read it and enjoyed it too.

6Christ, what can't it do? Maybe Simmer can hone and strop it for me so I can replace my straight razors.

Re: SOG Tactical Tomahawk Review
8Granted, mine is an East German model, not the one linked to...but it's as accurate as any throwing axe I've used. Best part is that it cares not when it accidentally eats dirt.

Re: SOG Tactical Tomahawk Review
10Tomahawks are specifically listed as a prohibited weapon here in Tejas. (Unlikely meant to disarm a specific group of people )
I carry a heavy-duty tri-fold shovel and have sharpened one edge. I carry it when I'm digging with the metal detector. It digs and cuts and isn't a prohibited weapon.

Puffing up is no substitute for smarts but it's a common home remedy
Re: SOG Tactical Tomahawk Review
11Sounds like the perfect tool for trenching through tree roots. I dropped an electrical conduit in a buddy's back yard awhile back and could of used a chopping shovel
Re: SOG Tactical Tomahawk Review
12Nice write up- I think I need that damned shovel though. You people are a very, very bad influence.
EDIT- Wow. Only $20. Hmm....
