Could someone explain this for me? I saw one for sale today with a flashlight and front vertical grip.

It just feels wrong.
Re: Mossberg SPX 464
2It's for the lazy Bubba who doesn't have the time or energy to Bubba his own rifle.
Or maybe it's for a place that is OK with lever action, but not semi-automatic or pump action.

3Saw one in a gun shop last year and thought it was a joke gone horribly wrong. I think you're onto something though, tacticool all you want, as it's not a semi. Not on my list. At all.
Re: Mossberg SPX 464
5I love lever guns, and I couldn't even buy that thing as a joke.
The sad part is, I could totally see doing a tacticool lever gun. That just isn't it.

6I put a dozen rounds through a friend's 464. Decent factory trigger, bright sights, nicely balanced, comfortable stock. I'd prefer a different forearm but otherwise, nice gun. I like the adjustable stock. Lever guns often feel too short for me and probably many others. Doesn't fit unto a neat category, but so what.

7...it's a California-legal assault rifle.

10Yes; perhaps you refer to a previous thread here about it where it was vigorously...and rightfully scorned.Fukshot wrote:That damn thing just won't go away!
My only response to this heap is that there is no accounting for taste.
ps. I lurf leverguns (except this one).

11As I've said before, the archetypal definition of Kitsch is the Venus di Medici with a clock in her navel. However, this comes close.
Chamber's empty, magazine's full, safety's broken.
Re: Mossberg SPX 464
12I kinda like it, but then again I have a soft spot for AMC Gremlins. I always thought a lever shotgun style along the lines of the tacticool 464 would be pretty nifty.

13Yes. They're delicious with a mango salsa.Fukshot wrote:Won't somebody PLEASE think of the children??!!!!
