633 round per minute 6lb .308 rifle, and still capable of sub-MOA accuracy. One serious weapon.

Re: Full auto AR-10 prototype
2Just a 6lbs SEMI auto AR10 sounds cool...full auto would require some sort of financing.
Re: Full auto AR-10 prototype
3Financing is right. Checking prices for these old AR-10s places them in the 5K - 30K range. Big range but there were only 9900 made, so this one is probably pushing the higher end. Especially now that it has been shot by Miculek.
I don't know how practical such a light full auto would be. It's not often I see a 200lb world-class marksman, being pushed off-balance like that.
His comments are funny: "that thing is mad at ammunition, it just wants it out of there as fast as possible" Never heard it put that way before.

Re: Full auto AR-10 prototype
5Meh. My full auto .308 would be an M14. But that's just me.

6BAR in ..308. Heavy enough there's a chance you can actually control it full auto

7Eh, if I want a full auto .308 that I can control, I'd rather get one of these again...

Re: Full auto AR-10 prototype
8Nah, get a MK48. those are much more fun.
All problems can be solved with a copious amount of high explosives.

9What impresses me is that it was made 60+ years ago and it can hold its own in many ways with the latest weapons technology.
The BAR looks awesome but it seems dated in comparison to a say, FN SCAR 17, and about as portable as an 80s cell phone. At least that was my impression from watching the hickok45 comparison:
