Suppressed rifles: fluted barrel or not?

1
For a lightweight backcountry hunting rifle, I'm looking at a Tikka T3X Lite or Superlite. The Superlite is "just" the Lite with a fluted barrel (9oz lighter, or so claimed Sportsman's Warehouse customer service -- annoyingly, they're the exclusive retailer of the Superlite). Lighter is better when you're hoofing it over the mountains, but since I plan on having the barrel threaded for a suppressor, does that offer more knowledgeable folk than me any reasons to favor the non-fluted Lite? I've heard that thinner profile barrels can have more POI shift, but as long as the precision isn't diminished (or at least not by much) I'm OK with a (consistent) POI shift.
