Got the call on Tuesday that the RAMI I ordered in July had arrived at my LGS. I went over and picked it up yesterday. I had so much time while waiting, that I had already ordered some walnut grips and a lighter spring kit and extended firing pin from Cajun Gun Works. As someone noted recently, CZs come pretty wet and greasy so I spent this morning cleaning the pistol, polishing the feed ramp, installing the grips and springs, etc.
The pistol is the decocker version in 9 mm. It came with ten and fourteen round magazines. Out of the box, the trigger was a typical CZ trigger with an 11# SA and 6.5# DA pull. After some minimal polishing and installing the lighter springs, it come in at just about 4.5# SA and 8# DA. It feels a lot like the trigger on my SP-01. The DA reach is a little long so I might install a reach reduction kit.
It came with night sights, like the SP-01, which also has the decocker. The RAMI is a little stiff but it points just like my other CZs so it feels familiar. It is about the size of my old Ruger SR9c although it is a bit fatter. In fact, it is a chubby little guy but should be carryable. I have a deSantis IWB holster for a Glock 26 that fits it perfectly.
Unfortunately, the range is completely snowed in so, other than firing a couple rounds into the manure pile, it's gonna be a while before I can shoot it much. In the meantime, here are a couple quick pix:
Re: Six months later, the CZ RAMI arrives!
2You show that manure who's boss. That's a purdy gun!
I don't like to think of my self as an artist so much as someone who stares at empty spaces and imagines s--t.
Re: Six months later, the CZ RAMI arrives!
3Yup. A whole new meaning to "shootin the shit."
Thanks. I agree!

Re: Six months later, the CZ RAMI arrives!
7Thanks, all! I am loving it. As I have found for all the CZ products, a lot of value for a reasonably reasonable price.
Re: Six months later, the CZ RAMI arrives!
8Epic wait, congrats!
Re: Six months later, the CZ RAMI arrives!
9It's obviously going to need an extended break in period. You can just send it my way and I'll take care of that little detail for you.
(Nice score man, definitely an epic wait)

10Sweet! Man, that's a good looking gun. The grips make it.
I need something smart-looking like that in my collection.

Re: Six months later, the CZ RAMI arrives!
11Thanks again! I thought that would be the last gun purchase for a while but I bought my wife a Walther CCP today.

12I want one of those so bad.
It will be a while but I will have one.

Re: Six months later, the CZ RAMI arrives!
13Congrats dude glad you picked up this little guy finally. I love this gun, shoots so well despite being a small pistol. How is the half pinky extension treating you? After a while I couldn't stand it so I bought some XD (not XDM!) pearce extensions and filed them down. Works pretty well!
Re: Six months later, the CZ RAMI arrives!
14Thanks P-dog! I actually have the Pearce extension but my sandpaper is in the shop in the barn, trapped by snow drifts. But! It should melt by next week. I had an extension on the small mag of my sr9c and it helped a lot.

16That's a killer price! Part of the reason mine took so long was that I wanted the decocker instead of th safety.
Re: Six months later, the CZ RAMI arrives!
17Really nice. Those grips have a beautiful glow. I passed on a nice used one and looking at those pics makes me regret it...
Re: Six months later, the CZ RAMI arrives!
18Finally got to shoot the RAMI this morning. Put a bunch of WWB 115 grain rounds through it. The pistol has perfect manners. It ate everything and ejected everything perfectly. Accuracy is really good. Comes back on target quickly.
I also ran a mag of Critical Defense through it. No problems, no drama.
It was worth the six month wait.

I'll just have to live vicariously through Bucolic. Glad it lived up to its reputation.
