Doing a bit of work for a fellow and got this for it-
A Pietta 1858 Remington repro. Those grips, to my delight, are not Pietta's cast plastic grips; they seem to be ivory micarta.
I have plans for this- which don't involve turning it into a'snubby.' Been there, done that. OK, it's not going to have a long barrel, and I'm not doing a birds-head grip on this one. One thing that I will do is attempt a .44 Colt conversion using the original-style heeled .451 Bullets. If nothing else it's going to be interesting.
Jeez, I haven't even finished the last project...
