I finally bought me a pistol, used FNS 9 with night sights plus four holsters from a guy locally for 400 dollars, he bought it new in 2016 and said it's had 200 rounds through it and works flawlessly. I'm anxious to get it to the range, hopefully tomorrow.
Here are a few pictures.
Re: Finally pulled the trigger
5Nice pistol...good start, looks like a nice deal and CCW ready. Go shootin' and have fun, that means a Range Report!

7Winchester white box, PMC bronze, etc. Any reputable ball ammo. The extraction on the FNS-9 can be a bit light so try a few things and see what you like. Nice pistol!

8Good choice!

9Just to add, Remington and UMC. I’ve had good luck with Winchester USA Forged steel. It’s brass jacketed, clean burning and at steel-cased prices. Good for breaking stuff in and heavy plinking.justinf wrote:Winchester white box, PMC bronze, etc. Any reputable ball ammo. 10For 9mm range ammo, I've had really good accuracy with the 124 grain Fiocci.
Congrats on your purchase!

Re: Finally pulled the trigger
11I think he stiffed you on holsters.
Just kidding. Congratulations!

12Congrats!
Re: Finally pulled the trigger
13A month ago I sent my new Taurus TCP 738 back to them because it kept jamming, I don’t like it, it’s painful to shoot so I’m hoping they keep it and send me a credit for another Taurus, if so I’m going to a 9mm carry pistol. I really want a 1911 but that may have to wait awhile.willa1975 wrote:Good choice!

14 FN (National Factory of Herstal, Belgium), a long proud history of weapons manufacturing. They also own Browning (Hi-Power) and Winchester (rifles). Happy Shooting!

Re: Finally pulled the trigger
15Put 50 rounds through it today, I’m shooting just a bit low but otherwise the FNS 9 performed perfectly. Much different than my S&W 38 special revolver.
Re: Finally pulled the trigger
16I have a FNS9 and like it. Only two complaints, its hard to find both holsters and magazines for it.
Re: Finally pulled the trigger
17Shooting low often the result of pulling the gun down in anticipation of recoil, AKA flinching. Watch this (good) training video:

Alien Gear has a full assortment of holsters:

Magazines aren't cheap ($45-50), but CDNN and Midway has them in stock.

Re: Finally pulled the trigger
19Thank you. It seems that the number of holsters for the FN has gone up nicely. The magazines are a Maryland-specific issue. Its legal to own standard capacity magazines in MD. Its illegal to buy/sell them instate. So I buy them out of state. I find that they are not the easiest things to find at Northern VA FFLs and gun shows.atxgunguy wrote:Perhaps it's been a while since you've checked?DavidMS wrote:I have a FNS9 and like it.
