Nice write up thanks, but one question....does nobody clean up their stuff out there? Yeesh. The local outdoor range is exactly the same kind of setup as that one and while I've seen it bad, I've never seen it that bad (except that time someone took a whole couch out there, laced it with tannerite and then left the mess).

Dat garand though

GravyBoat, every fourth Thursday the prisoners from the county jail clean it all up.

nigel: it's the quarters, really, that are the most uncomfortable. But you've got to try and clean a long barreled rifle with a radio or you just haven't lived.

If any Tea Party members read it, they will stop at "discerned."

It was a fun trip.

Folks should note that LGC california will be headed back up to Oroville in the next couple months.

By then I will have borrowed from my brother a .300 Weatherby Magnum to try some 500 meter shots with. My family and their guns...

Hopefully i can convince some other folks to make the trek. But if we have a quorum of 2 and it is Cd and I, i will be happy camper. er... shooter.

As I was moving things around in preparation for the new arrival, I came across the bowling pin target mentioned and pic'd in the blog post, and the guns who poked the holes. Turns out six hits with the .45.

Here's the target and guns
