I just dropped mvelimir a note, and I can send him what I have. Again, sorry about the quality, I was just trying to make something that matched what mark posted, but I don't get to use cool tricks like anti aliasing to make look nice if I'm assuming black and white. If I knew the exact requirements (size, vector or raster (resolution), etc) I could give it another go....

Looking at Del Ton's stripped ar order page, looking at their example of the army seal laser etching, specifically how the little circles still have curves and the end of the banner comes to a point even when zoomed in 500%, I'm going to say that the source logo should be sizeable, like 500 pixels wide. Let them scale it down as needed rather than limit ourselves. And they mention a format requirement of bitmap, jpeg, gif or eps.

Ok... sorry I have been absent on this a bit. I have several emails from people wanting hi-res images. This pics look great and I love what you have done given that you started with a very very low res picture.

I will send off the hi-res. asap.

Though your receiver says 5.56, it doesn't have to BE 5.56mm.

When it's all said and done, I'll have 7 lowers, 5 of which will be 5.56, 1 of which will be .50Beo and I'm not sure on the last one. Maybe .410 or 7.62x25. They will all say 5.56 though.

I sent mvelimir what I had completed, letting him know that I can't work on it this weekend (swamped with work!). mark, drop me a copy of the highres, and I'll see what I can do when I have some spare time.

On that note, how does one actually go about getting these shipped to a local FFL? Just ask them if they are on file with delton?

You'd need to have a copy of his/her FFL faxed/email to Del Ton and they would ship it to your FFL.

Guys, here's a little exercise with our logo. I'm playing with some options and thinking if we should change anything. This is LGC logo, so as such, noting should be changed. However, I've been looking at 1st two images and got this question in my mind if we should flip minuteman to aim in same direction as our rifle? So, please give me your suggestions or constructive criticism, ideas, etc. Granted, the last word will be Mark's.

It is not easy to convert our color logo to black and white image and preserve it's identity. That is why I tried to keep tall grasses in the foreground as well as forest in the background. Please let me know your opinions if this is a right path or I should change something.

I like the third one they should shoot same way as the rifle.

Or we could keep the logo as it is, but engrave it on the opposite side (unless that's where DelTon logo is)?

I like what you have done.

When we are all through, could you take that and make it a one-color image? Like blue on a white background?

Part of me says that we should be consistent with which way the dudes point, the other part understands wanting them to point down range. I will await more comments.

I also see a difference between this and what Love did, this one preserved all 3 guys while Love's focused on one guy. I thought I would like the solitary guy but now that I see all three, I think I like them better. Hmmm....

Down range. Safety first :)

I'm not attached to mine, and my only thought was simplicity was preferable to strict duplication of the official logo. Seeing the examples, I think just one shooter and no background is easier to see from a distance. And once you're messing with things, you might as well point down range... ;)

Still haven't had time to give it another go...hoping to have my head above water by next weekend...

Perhaps we should have a vote?

Whoops, I keep saying that it was Love&a45 that did it, my sincere apologies. I got confused. I am getting old.

Hey, a flag is printed on both sides. Why can't we see our logo with the guns oriented downrange?

I like the downrange version.

If I start refering to any of you as the pet name 'love', I think I have bigger problems than what logo to use (like what to tell my wife!).

Perhaps I should just refer to him as a45 :)

The side of the magwell that it is on in those pictures is the side it HAS to be on. I think simpler would be better and I like the firearms pointing downrange. Maybe that's just the RSO in me...

Agreed. Simple is good, and muzzle down range.

Here you go kiddies. mark requested a 3 person as well to compare, and I'll see what I can get done....

And it's now a vector, so I can whatever size is necessary.
