I bought a stethoscope. $25. Gets here Tuesday. At night I can hear them buzzing away keeping themselves warm, and when the weather is warm they're pretty casual in there. They're interesting little creatures, the more I look at them.

Now is the time to remind us of Eli Israel's First Law of Affliction: "The more you get into it, the more there is to get into."

I just checked our two hives with my beekeeper friend. All is well. They’re producing and capping honey; the queen is laying;and everything is good.
Neverthless, she persisted.

Someday, I'd like to keep some bees. If you aren't aware of comedian Eddie Izzard, find a video of his description of bee keeping.
