PVC Target Stands

1
Recently at a Florida LGC Range day I brought some PVC target stands. Keith (our local chapter President) suggested I post this "how-to" to the forum. Here is a link to the stands I built.

The main difference mine that I brought to the range day and the ones in the link is that I wanted mine to be a little more portable. In that I skipped steps 2 and 3. Instead of filling the base with rocks I decided that I would fill the base with water. I also opted to not cement in the upright assembly. btw each base will take about a gallon of water to fill. ~B

Interesting, but pregnant with much fail.

First, if you glue it together, you can't take out a piece you shot a hole through and replace it.

Second, if you make the pieces different lengths, you can't replace pieces unless you have a copy of each length.

Solution: make all pieces the same length. Don't glue them. Carry a few spares and spare fittings in a bag you make from the leg of a worn out pair of jeans. Weight down the legs with rocks at the range.

True story, bros.
