After talking over with Paladin, briefly, I think this can be open to any air pistol or 22 rimfire.

Its a variation on the 10 Meter ISSF match rules.

A couple of notable exceptions:

• *Any .177 or .22 caliber Air Pistol can be used, and obviously allowing for .22 rimfire (which I guess could be LR or Shorts). This includes repeaters.
  *Bonus if you use .177 single shot AP is you can also enter your scores at http://www.airgunarena.com/index.php/Co ... Match_Info for a chance at their tops slots.
  *They also allow non-magnifying red dots, this one will as well.

This will be a 20 shot match, 5 per bull, and shot in 20 minutes.

Keep hold of the scanned targets for now, winners will have to verify their scores.

I downloaded the target and there are 3 targets on each page a big target and 2 smaller ones how do I shoot 20 at 3? Do I have to put a Bowie knife up and split my last two shoots?

The 3 target one doesn't have the outer scoring rings, it assumes you can keep it inside the 5 ring. Its just a way to shoot 3 of the bulls on the same paper

If you want to change targets between 5 shot groups, use this one

10 points. I haven't cleared this with Mark yet, but send the targets to the same address we alwasy send them to

Disregard my score I did five targets I will re submit. You are sure about the scoring?

20 shots in 20 minutes, 5 per bull. 200 points total. 4 targets (see my math comment ).

ISSF scoring is you only use the inner ring to break ties, it doesn't give you 11 points.

I submitted my abysmal score for the postal match. I was tempted not to submit at all, but I think it's important to participate. Still, I feel compelled to write an excuse post:

1. This was the second time I've had a pistol shooting session, the first time with my new gun.
2. First time at this particular range.
3. I didn't have much time, so was a little rushed and didn't get much practice.
4. Whatever the trick to one-handed shooting is, I haven't figured it out yet. My hand was totally unstable.

I'm not going to bother submitting pictures of the targets since I am clearly not a threat to the prize. But don't get complacent, I'll keep practising and will soon dominate the postal matches. :twisted:

Seriously, I appreciate the effort of setting these matches up. Due to an unfortunate family situation it's hard for me to find time to do much of anything, including going shooting. The postal match provided the little extra motivation, the excuse to make the time. so I finally broke in the new gun at an unfamiliar range.

Keep the matches coming.

I use a fencing stance.

Like fencing I keep it behind me for balance hook it in my belt or pocket.
