Realistic Air Guns

Post by inomaha »

I was looking around for a replica M16A1 for my father in law to safely carry on his Military Jeep in parades and found a couple.

Like this M16a1 replica

This M16A1 from a parts kit (of course being real and likely not to be carried in a parade)

This bad boy to mount on the Jeep itself, but the $1000 price tag sort of throws a wrench in the deal.

And this setup to replace his 1911 and give him a realistic looking replicas he could pink with if he wanted.

I ran across this revolver setup that looks and operates about as realistically as you can get. They make it in smooth bore BB or rifled pellet version.

Speed loading "bullets" into the swingout. This seems like a good way to practice drawing, firing in DA and SA, and speedloading.

It might be a christmas list thing.

You can buy an airsoft version of the 1895 Nagant.

For about the same price as a real one. :D

Pyramyd Air is a good bet. Some excellent 1911 and M16 replicas, airsoft is probably better than steel or pellet, but there are some nice full size .177 cal bb guns in the 1911 space. AIrgun laws may vary though :)

I've actually been giving relatively serious thought to picking up one of these:

My official title is Doctor Mister Hunter Of Skullyness. Don't ask me, ask Fukshot.

Zombie thread revival, but it seemed relevant given another thread on the subject of alternates to firearms.

Anyone have or have used the replicas from PyramidAir? I've had my eye on their 455 Webley Replica for a while and would like to know if they're worth the price. I mean, definitely worth it vs. a real Webley.

On the topic of realistic air guns: I'm very fond of my Mauser M712 replica, though I rarely use the autofire function. That empties mags real fast, with bad accuracy.
