imc pioner 3

Post by lurker »

romanian commie "boy scout" training rifle, paid about $20 for it. the bore is good, shoots nice at 20 yds. i've had this maybe 20 years, mostly hanging on the wall in my garage. i had a nicer chinese rifle, but i gave that to a local teenager.

typical comm-bloc front sight, which i like. the eye is naturally drawn to the center of a circle.

i've moved into town, so i can't shoot it in my yard. eventually i'll set up a target in the garage.

it makes a nice pop, but no worse than a staple gun.

Just revisiting, but I got one of these for popping squirrels in the back yard. Unfortunately, while it shoots the velocity is pretty much that of a soft sneeze. Any ideas what might need (and how, since Youtube isn't helping) replacing? Or should I just pony up and get a modern one for $100?
