I see you thinking about Garand loading. Remember that not all 30-06 loads are ok in a Garand. Ask here about powder choices when you’re ready to get in to that.

52Most load manuals that I've seen also have a separate .30-06 section just for the garand. Also for 7.62 NATO service rifles.

56In the back of your lyman manual you will see a couple of pages dedicated to the numbers of the universalshell holders, nor sure what the number for the 762 russian round is but the 06 RCBS is #3.
Redding, Hornaday, Lyman and Lee all make the same shell holder but the numbers will be different.
