Ten rds is a good number for an initial test for a trial load. Plastic coffee cans are quite handy for storing ammo and brass.
I bought cartridge boxes. They were cheaper than the divorce lawyer I’d have to hire if my wife found plastic-jar coffee in the house.

Looking at my supplies and my reloading books, I think I’m going to do three more loads. I’ll do a 400 gr Trapdoor load then a 300 and 400gr each at Marlin loads. Since my rifle can handle well beyond starting Marlin loads, I think it will be fine. It will be interesting to feel the different recoils and see the different effects.
