Re: A few of my guns
2How did the single six get the bird's head grip? I don't think I've ever seen one on that model.
Puffing up is no substitute for smarts but it's a common home remedy
Re: A few of my guns
3I purchased the stainless birdshead grip frame from a friend a long time ago and installed it myself. Gives it a more natural feel and makes it unique.Simmer down wrote:How did the single six get the bird's head grip? I don't think I've ever seen one on that model.

6OGG,
you know I was only kidding about posting pictures, although I do like gun pics and see what people have laying around.
so, anyway, the poll in your original post, did it tell you anything? how did it compare to other polls? did you run the same or similar poll on the hmmmm, more right leaning gun boards? did you run it one of the batshit crazy prepper boards?
be safe. have fun.

Re: A few of my guns
7Actually, yes. It took 3 hours out of my day to find my camera, round up some guns, take the pics, upload them to my PC, create a Photobucket account, upload the pics again, start this thread and copy & paste links to the pics. All because some people couldn't believe I owned guns and wouldn't stop accusing me of their BS.Inquisitor wrote: Was that so hard?
Best deer rifle ever. I also have a nice .444, and no it's not for sale.Inquisitor wrote: I mourn the loss of my Marlin, almost daily.

8As I've explained before, I haven't participated in any other forums for years. I finally decided to register here after lurking and reading posts for about a year or so. I don't have pics of my guns just lying around in my PC. I'm an old fart, I've owned and used firearms all my life, for hunting mostly but I collect a few that interest me as a hobby. It's no big deal, I don't feel the need to show them off and there's not a lot to discuss about them.gungun wrote:OGG,

I joined here mainly for the politics. So sue me. But I never expected the kind of treatment I received just for having differing views on gun control, kidding or not.

you probably missed it but I wrote about my views on gun control-- take away all the guns accept mine. not kidding. they can take all the cars and round up all the lunatics. old farts are just jaded and cynical.
(I really should just move to Norway and take up skeet shooting. nice people, good coffee.)
there is an ignore button on this site, some will use it to avoid you and your opinions. others will just be assholes and argue with you. who cares? I was banned on a alt-right gun board for having liberal opinions and saying socialist things. big deal huh? didn't cost me anything. (they didn't know jack about guns or shooting anyway).
don't be censored. have fun.
Re: A few of my guns
10Well the election is over. Tell us more about your guns! Fair number of revolvers and a .22LR semi no other semi-automatics?
Re: A few of my guns
11My buddy has a 444. It kicks, but not as extreme as you might think. I just picked up a 336 for myself as my new hunting rifleOldGunGuy wrote:Actually, yes.
