Winchester Superclean 9mm

#1 Post by SeanMoney » Mon Sep 17, 2018 1:36 pm

Aside from sweating it out, I did have some fun shooting some Winchester Superclean 9mm today. https://winchester.com/Products/Ammunit ... uper-Clean The CCI "clean" 22lr apparently still has some lead in the primers. This 9mm had lead and heavy metal free primer. It is also not so expensive as some lead free choices are.

How did it perform? There's been some issues in the past with lead free primers not going bang. Interesting that they went with a zinc core for the bullets.

Zinc core. Interesting. I haven't seen it in the wild here in California yet, though.

I've put 100 rounds of Winchester Superclean through my CZ75b with out any problems. Accuracy seems pretty good too. I expected it to group differently than the UMC or Blazer I normally use, but it was decent. Bullets are 90gr so considerably less mass than the regular 115gr.
