I am tempted by the CZ 527 bolt action in .223/5.56. I think I have a couple hundred rounds if 5.56 left over from when I sold my AR.
CZ 527 bolt action 5.56 looks better to me now that I compare my 7.62x39 CZ to my Thompson Center Compass 5.56. If I had known how awesome the CZ was, I wouldn't have purchased the TCC.

I'm on the hunt for mannlichers now that I own one.

Those are super cool. I understand the craving.

I agree. Nice weapon, but pretty expensive. You know your limits.

Thats like full on msrp. Nice lookin bush guns though. Their website says they like surplus russian steel over American made, weird. Plus their .223 shoots .556.

Amazingly never heard about them. Saw one just sold online. But here's the story behind them. https://www.americanrifleman.org/articl ... 4-carbine/

Here’s mine. L to R: 20 ga, 7.62x54r, .223/5.56, 9x19, .380acp, .22wrf, .22lr, .25acp

Edited to add:

My choices aren’t nearly as well thought out as yours. I had a couple boxes of 20 ga left over from hunting doves with a borrowed shotgun years back, so I bought a couple shotguns to use it up. The 7.62 fits a Mosin I bought at Big 5 20-odd years ago because it was $60. The .223 is because, well, A-Team. 9mm is because I wanted a full size centerfire and didn’t really care about stopping power or whatever (still don’t) and the Glock was a good deal in the case. I still can’t explain the .380. .22wrf appeared in a case of ammo I inherited and I’ve so far resisted the temptation to buy a gun for it (but I hear you can shoot em in .22 mag cylinders so one of those convertible revolvers may be coming my way eventually). Everyone needs a .22 (or four), and the .25 fits a Beretta that makes less sense than the .380.

I will be adding .308 because I’m over 7.62x54r and a .44mag because hand cannon (and Ruger .44 Carbine). I may not be able to resist an SKS/CZ 527 combo, especially if I figure out aperture sights. But then I’m done. I swear.

Sorry for the word vomit but I twisted the (poop) out of my ankle and I’m sitting here with my foot elevated and bitter because it’s Tuesday and I won’t drink as much as I want to forget the pain.

My grandpa gave me his .25 semi-auto. Dang thing was small, not awful but couldn't go through a car door, circa 65'. Lol
Got nothing bad to say about the 7.62. The 9MM and.380 I think are great. I carry both all the time.

tonguengroover wrote: Tue Jan 07, 2020 3:14 pm I think I may have a well rounded variety of ammo. Maybe not. Couple guns and rifles utilize both types displayed. I like to line them up and just look at them. Kinda like what you see in online images. I try and stock 1,000 rnds of each. Does a guy really need anything different? I used to also have a 30-30, .270 wms, .410 .30 cal .25 cal and .22mag but alas, sold those.

Left to right- 12 ga, 30-06, 25-06, .556, .357 mag, .38 spcl .40 cal, 9mm, .380, .22.
You are a dirty rotten sinner if you don't have a .45 ACP in there, you heretic!
