Corona has crushed my dreams of a Model 63. Trying to figure out how I can finance a Mini 14 and then the safe is probably done for the foreseeable future.

Until Corona is resolved satisfactorily, I just don't see any reason to add any range toys to the safe. I would probably skip the Mini 14, but state and federal laws and/or fears may make that unobtainable if I don't act now.

Staying alive is number one, so encourage people to stay safe.

I wouldn't mind so much about this gun panic if (1) ammo was still cheap & available to stock and (2) jobs weren't in jeopardy.

I've been reading this thread for a while now. I struggle to remember a time when I actually planned to add something to the safe. I know I thought it that way once.

Standby.

Yes! it was early '02 when I decided I needed a personal defense weapon beyond my bayonet-bearing milsurps. So I got the GP-100. Dang. Took me a while to bring that back up from the external hard drive.

If one of the American made AK-74s actually comes to market this year (and isn't terrible) I will try my best to pick one up. Other than that I've had to put any other wish list purchases on hold cause the rona pay cut I've had to take. I was going to add to the list this year -

CZ Bren 2 MS Carbine
Ruger Gunsite Scout
Kalash KT-12
Ruger American in 7.62x39

However, it's got a pretty hefty pricetag of about $750+ ($680 at the lowest, I've found), and for that money (actually, even less) I could get a Mossberg 500 Retrograde and start my foray into shotguns. I was looking at the 590A1 but thanks to Hickock45's video this morning showing it off, there's absolutely no stock left in my area.

But it was considerably less expensive that the new ones.

I want one of those.... crap I can't remember what it's called. I saw it in some gun magazine a few months ago. It's the size and weight of a Kel-Tek 32, but as soon as you draw it from the holster, it swells up into a Sig 226.
Seriously the Covid will probably keep me from buying anything. But a Rem 870 Marine 12 guage would be logical. But what I really want is a custom Rem 700 with a 26 in barrel in 224 Valkyrie. It would look like Grandpa's deer rifle.

I’m getting to the same place. Have too many to keep up with the care and feeding. Not bragging but CONFESSING. Need group therapy. “Hi I’m DamnYankee and it’s been 3 days since my last gun purchase.”

Some should have a RDS or scope and don’t because I can’t stop bringing more in the front door. No more for me now. MAYBE a surplus wooden stock for the M1A. MAYBE a folding brace for a Yugo M92. Nothing else new.

There's still more that I want, just can't justify it during a pandemic with so many uncertainties in the economic outlook and prices being what they are. Guns can wait. And if they can't and I completely miss my window to buy all the boom sticks my heard desires, oh well, life goes on, and I already have everything I truly need anyway.

That being said, if any of you are thinning your collections, you'll give us first crack at it, right? ;)
