My Osage Longbow.
55# with a 28 inch draw.
The bow was made by Curt Brisky of Brisky Bows.
Traditional archery is a hoot!

Thanks. It shoots very smooth.
I have never seen a bow made of pecan* ... Looking forward to seeing pictures when its finished.
*unless pecan is the wood as hickory.

Yeah, hickory and pecan are very similar.

Daww. That's a sweet bit of kit there. I'm also in the 28" Draw category, although 55# might be a bit much for my bursitis-prone shoulder these days.

Thanks!
It took awhile to work up to it.
But I got into archery with the idea of hunting , so I thought the biggest bow I could shoot accurately at the range I needed would be best.
55# seems enough "oomph" for both pleasure and hunting.
