Dark Sucks Alpha and Beta. Along with a couple of pens.
In this photo we have:
Download Pocket Rocket, a bunch of Four Sevens Quarks and other lights, two ridiculous Ovist Specials (dual 26650 lights putting out ~4500 lumens), and some empty bottles of boose.
The Pocket Rocket is a single 18650 that will melt if you leave it on high too long. The Four Sevens are my favorite non-ridiculous flashlights. The Ovist specials are great but temperamental.
The Dark Sucks are fantastic but expensive.
Re: FLASHLIGHTS SUPER THREAD
2Zebralight SC64 with 18650 battery for scale. This is the light that stays on me anytime I'm vertical and not submerged in water (although it is IPX8 rated - 30 minutes at ~6.5ft), and sleeps next to me on the nightstand every night. It's a tiny beast and worth every penny. Much like guns, flashlights tend to follow the buy-once-cry-once rule.

Re: FLASHLIGHTS SUPER THREAD
3Streamlight ProTac 1AA loaded with a CR123 battery, stays next to the pistol safe as a backup in case the Zebralight dies or malfunctions. Never gets used but better to have backups than not have backups.

4i get whatever is on sale at harbor freight at the time. 57 cents in the latest sale flyer.
i'm retired. what's your excuse?
Re: FLASHLIGHTS SUPER THREAD
5Zebralight headlamp. I forget the model# but it's essentially a right-angle SC64 with a good headband. This one gets used all the time for tending the garden at night, any yard/house work where I need hands-free light, all kinds of stuff really. A good headlamp is one of those things you never really how much you always needed until you have one and find yourself using it constantly.

Come on man, you need a 45 caliber light to go with your 45AARP handgun!

7Coast HP3 when I’m wearing overalls or pants with long tool pockets. HP2 when I’m wearing jeans.

8Phone camera distorts, so to be clear I’ll note that these are same diameter just different lengths.
Re: FLASHLIGHTS SUPER THREAD
10Leaning more towards the Zebralight at this point (hi from the discord). If I like it I may get a headlamp for my wife's birthday present, she uses them when camping, and it would probably be nice since we are occasionally taking the puppy outside at night.
Re: FLASHLIGHTS SUPER THREAD
11I'm sad that Four Sevens was acquired and the app for my flashlight is no longer available at the app store.
Re: FLASHLIGHTS SUPER THREAD
12Yeah, but at least it was acquired by someone who makes a quality product. Jason knows what he's doing and does good work with his other lines as well (Dark Sucks).spara wrote: Fri Apr 10, 2020 10:52 am I'm sad that Four Sevens was acquired and the app for my flashlight is no longer available at the app store.
