Way to go, Surfer. Make us some sausage and send me the backstraps.

Respectfully, may I please request that you post this kind of thing in the hunting section. Thanks

Thanks everyone! Yes breakfast and summer sausages will be coming back from the processor. Hiker, my bad, didn’t realize there was a separate thread. Thanks for moving Mason!

Nice shooting!

With the jacket I figured it couldn't be FL, the land of perpetual summer. Good shot !

Contratulations ..... and thanks.

There were 20 or so deer that had been struck and were laying on the side of the interstate this weekend when we drove down to the KC area. A typical deer season thins them out by 250,000 in the state of MO, 100,000 in IA and 50,000 in NE; but there still are thousands of deer/car accidents every year. They move into town here in the winter and eat out of the low hanging bird feeders in the neighborhood. There are usually 3 or 4 collisions with them on the road I take to work, since the deer can't read the road signs.

Which unfortunately the Iowa Department of Transporation has to remind residents.

I️ wish the season was longer here, it’s only like 2 weeks long and it ends today. Gun season in FL is at least a month long, longer depending on which zone you’re in.
