Re: What do you prep for?

"prep". heh.
i don't "prep" per se.
i've always valued skills. i'm a competent (amateur) carpenter, mechanic, gunsmith, you name it, mostly because i've been poor/cheap most of my life, now mostly just cheap. i cut my own hair, for gosh sakes, that wahl clipper i bought decades ago (yes, that many bad haircuts) has paid for itself a hundred times over, same for the craftsman wrench set. the thousands of rounds of ammo i wrapped up years ago to get through the great ammo drought (largely caused by other preppers/hoarders) still sits in it's hermetically sealed boxes, waiting. for what? six weeks at the range? heck, i'm old and slow, maybe if i hunker down behind some rocks i can hold the pass long enough for the younguns to get away, or maybe it's just a self-flogging fantasy about self-importance.
i'm retired. what's your excuse?
