Re: Hey Garand gurus

Sixty-two cents a round is not all that good a price, but it comes on clips, and I see people paying over a dollar apiece for clips (I used to Dumpster dive for them after matches during the 70s and 80s). Regarding the clips, beware, because some of the post-WWII european clip-makers did a miserable job of making them. My guess is they are most likely re-used USGI clips, and if so the only problem you'll have with them is really thick parkerizing. I've bought a lot of ammo from SGA, and if they tell you the ammo cans the ammo comes in are trashed, you can count on it.

On-line references saythe Ethiopians used Garands in Korea during the Korean War, received 20,700 Garands as US Military Assistance during the 1960s, and bought at least some Garands from Italian makers.
