A quick update:

For everyday 100 grain lead bullet shooting I'm using Trail Boss. Easy to see in that deep narrow case and loads to a much higher density.

The book says 2.4 to 2.8 grains which is a reasonable load. I did use an old rule of thumb I read on Hodgdons website for trail boss which I recall is "fill the case as your starting load". I did shoot this load and didn't blow up myself or my gun, but it felt very "stout" It was around 4.6 grains, which is a full case.... the 3.2 grain loads I shot afterwards were ok. But I'll stick to the book loads.

It's good to read.
