The Klown came around, and got nasty with my 10/22. Some say I have an unnatural affinity for the Hawaiian shirt. I say, "Who doesn't?" Not sure why a 22lr needs camo, so why not make it an even more useless paint scheme? I guess that's all Klown needed to know - "Hey, can you make me a Hawaiian Shirt Print Camo for my 10/22?" This was his response, in all it's sick glory:

3oh boy, oh boy
Chamber's empty, magazine's full, safety's broken.
Re: Klownin' around in Hawaii town
4Is that Bob? Surfing?! Beautiful!! I have one Titan stock that has been Klowned and it never fails to start conversation.
Re: Klownin' around in Hawaii town
5That's looks cool.

11Awesome. Simply awesome.
"We have met the enemy and he is us." Pogo.
Re: Klownin' around in Hawaii town
12Nice rifle too - I see a Kidd bolt and charging handle. What barrel is that?
Re: Klownin' around in Hawaii town
13Thanks - Green Mountain barrel, Kidd SS trigger, and a bunch of stuff and things. The receiver and pins are OEM though. Next time I'll just buy a Kidd rifle! It's been a slow fun build though.

Re: Klownin' around in Hawaii town
14Yeah, buy the Kidd barreled action and let them install the barrel for you. It can be stressful. The other nice thing about the Kidd receiver is that Victor makes a replacement rear tang for the Titan stock that bolts into the receiver and gives a really stable set up.
Don't you love that trigger?

Re: Klownin' around in Hawaii town
15I do love that trigger! I'm thinking about the Kidd receiver. Then Id take all the leftovers and put together a loaner plinker for friends.

Re: Klownin' around in Hawaii town
16That is the slippery slope! I started with a Ruger compact model and, through the process you describe, have arrived at a state where I have four all-Kidd rifles in various configurations and a frankenruger rifle with the original receiver set up for plinking and vermin.
Re: Klownin' around in Hawaii town
17Tell me about slippery slope builds. Fun, though. Best way to get a gun you like: build it. Then have KK paint it.

19You'll need a Hawaiian Fly shirt with a matching rifle stock.FlyGuy wrote:I too have been told I have an affinity for the Hawaiian shirt.
