Weird Green Powder Residue

Post by Mason »

I'm using .22rf cal Hilti/Ramset loads for a project at work, the details of which I can't disclose.

Anyway, they smell like any other .22 but the powder residue is dark green. I've never seen that before. Anyone else?

yes...same thing with my 22 nail gun...I assumed it was because the loadings were corroding the brass

I wonder if it's purposeful as a way to identify the propellant for nail guns, not firearms.
