It's marketing/propaganda, using the military/police connection to sell firearms. Firearms manufacturers always put out an announcement when they get a contract with this or that law enforcement agency. Manufacturers use well known actors and actresses to sell their products, they give their testimonials as to why they use the product. It goes on all the time with all types of products.
