I always loved how accurately Anschutz shoot. On the other hand I always hated their high grade stocks. It took me 2 years to find this very early (July 1955) Hornet with a classic stock and fine no skip line checkering.

Wow! Fine looking rifle.

What kind of scope is that and how are the optics?

Its a 4X German scope with the typical #1 heavy picket style posts.

I shot twice at 100 yards with 2 holes touching. The bolt stuck after the second shot and I quit to figure out the problem and a solution. It took 4 hours of thought before remembering I have a one piece .22 steel rod. A slight tap on the end with the heel of my hand moved the bolt back. A simple exam of the case revealed it was slightly too long. That coupled with a typical tight Anschutz chamber was the cause. I haven't shot it since because I first have to mike all my reloaded cases.
