K98 Restoration Question

1
Just throwing this out there guys. I picked up at a pawn shop a bring back K98. The stock had been modified, front sight hood gone, but everytng else is original and matching. I found a place to get an original K98 stock set, full, and also the hood I'm missing. I'm just curious, as I'd heard for years that stocks on the K98's were serialed as well, so not sure if even adding a full period correct German stock set would count as a restoration or just be a weird, I guess, Bubba-ing of the rifle.

Pics would be nice so we could tell you something. I've gone through a few of them, so I might be able to shed some light. So, if you could tell the arsenal and year, I can start the process. It's pretty easy to fit a new or used stock to one. How's the bore?
