Yeah, California isn't all blue! It's pretty red away from the coast but they are badly outnumbered. It makes for some weird politics when the Bay Area and LA set the political stage for the much larger more rural "Jefferson" parts of the state.

Best luck to all, as you say. I'm pretty nervous about it and really, really hoping for some good news Wednesday morning on Dem wins. This admin sorely needs a check on its power.

Almost everyone is nervous everywhere for their own reasons, but the voter turnout makes me feel better. It doesn't mean anything about the final outcomes, but it means that people really are engaged this time. The world is watching to see who we really are.
The border between civilization and savagery is porous and patrolled by opportunists. Resist fascism. Vote like your democracy depends on it.
